Configure Field Groups: Choose Which Lead Fields Users See

Configure the lead fields visible to your sales team when using Pull, Power Dialing, Lead Details Screen or the Mobile App.

Overview

Field groups control how lead fields are organized and displayed in SalesExec. By grouping related fields and choosing where each group appears, administrators can simplify data entry, reduce screen clutter, and make sure users see only the information that matters for their workflow. Field groups affect the lead details view, the Pull and Power Dial screens, Quick Add/Edit, and the mobile app.

Open the Field Groups tab

  1. Navigate to More > Settings > Create Lead Fields.

  2. Select Edit next to the Record Type you want to configure.

  3. Select the middle tab, Field Groups.

Create and arrange field groups

  1. Select Add Field Groups to create sections for your lead fields. Drag and drop groups to arrange the screen.

  2. Choose where each group appears with Show Groups For:

    • LeadDetails: the group is visible on a lead's details page.

    • Pull: the group is visible when users Pull leads or use Power Dial.

    • QuickAdd: the group is available in Quick Edit and on the Add Lead page when manually creating leads.

    • Mobile: the group is available in the mobile application.

If a field needs to appear on more than one screen, select every screen it should appear on.

  3. Within a group, select Add Field. Only fields that are not already part of another field group are available. Drag fields to set their order.

Note: Any lead field marked Required on the Record Type that is not in a field group is automatically added to a group called Other. You can reconfigure it at any time.

Change a field's display name

By default a field's display name is the description you entered when you added it to the Record Type. Click within the field to change the name your users see.

Best practices

  • Design groups around real workflows, such as contact details, qualification data, or lead source information.

  • Limit the fields shown on Pull and Quick Add to avoid overwhelming users.

  • Keep mobile groups especially short.

  • Use consistent names for groups and display names, and review them as your sales process changes.

Troubleshooting

  • A field doesn't appear: confirm it is in a field group and that the group is visible on that screen.

  • A field can't be added to a group: it is probably already assigned to another group.

  • A display-name change doesn't show: have users refresh or log in again.

  • Field groups affect display only. They don't remove or change lead data.
