Written by Gabriel Buck

Overview

The SalesExec Dialer SMS Statistics report lets administrators review SMS and text message activity handled through SalesExec Dialer. Use it to monitor sends, deliverability, response rates, opt-outs, and overall SMS usage for compliance and performance tracking.

Key Functionality

The report provides:

  • Total SMS volume: Total SMS messages sent and received in a selected period.

  • Message outcome breakdown: Statuses such as delivered, failed, opt-out/rejection (recipient replies STOP), or undelivered.

  • Time-based reporting: Filter by day, week, month, or custom date range.

  • User/agent and number filtering: Review SMS stats per agent, phone number, or group for performance tracking or compliance audits.

  • Conversation history: Full SMS conversation history per lead or contact, including inbound and outbound messages.

  • Opt-out and DNC integration: Works with Do-Not-Contact (DNC) or opt-out logic so messages to opted-out numbers are logged or blocked.

Before you Begin

  • You need access to the Reports section in SalesExec.

  • Confirm you have permission to view SMS statistics. Contact your administrator if you cannot access the report.

  • Ensure the SalesExec Dialer SMS delivery integration is configured if you need delivered status data.

After you apply filters, the report displays the selected View. Verify the date range, record type, and view match your selection. The totals and percentages should update based on the filtered data.

Best practices

  • Run SMS stats regularly (weekly or monthly) to monitor delivery rates, failures, and overall SMS load.

  • Filter by user, agent, or number to audit performance and ensure compliance for SMS outreach.

  • Combine SMS statistics with conversion or lead-quality data to measure the true impact of SMS outreach, not just volume.

  • Respect opt-out requests automatically. Ensure opt-out rules and DNC are enforced.

  • Archive periodic reports if regulations or internal governance require retention of communication logs.

Troubleshooting

Issue

What to check

SMS count seems too high or low

Verify the date range and filters. Ensure messages were actually sent or received and not blocked.

Delivered status missing or many failed messages

Check that the SMS delivery integration (SalesExec Dialer) is configured and that numbers are valid.

Opt-out or DNC logic not applied or reported

Confirm SMS opt-out filtering settings are enabled and functioning.

Report export fails or partial data exported

Narrow the date range or apply fewer filters to reduce data volume. Large datasets can cause timeouts.

No SMS data for a user despite activity

Verify the user's SMS activity is logged and not filtered. Confirm permissions and that correct phone lines were used.
