How to Add a Lead in SalesExec

Add a lead manually from My Leads, then open it to start working, add another lead, or return to your lead list.

Add a lead

  1. Go to My Leads and select the appropriate Record Type and Workflow.

  2. Select New Lead from the toolbar or right-click menu.

  1. Enter the lead’s information. The fields shown depend on which fields your administrator has enabled for Quick Add/Edit.

  2. In Lead Details, select the appropriate Marketing Channel, Lead Source, or Campaign, according to your company’s process. If you’re unsure which values to use, ask your sales manager or marketing team.

  3. Under Lead Assignment, choose who should receive the lead. Options include yourself, another user, a branch, or the corporate level.

  4. Select a save option:

Option

What happens

Save and Open

Saves the lead and opens it so you can start working.

Save and Add New

Saves the lead and opens a blank form to add another.

Save and Close

Workflow and action settings

The workflow defaults to the first status in your record type configured with the system status New Lead.

If you already know the call’s outcome, you can select an Action on the Add Lead form.

Confirm it worked

With Save and Open, confirm that the lead opens with the information you entered. With the other save options, locate the saved lead in My Leads using the appropriate record type and workflow.
